Parents

Dear Parents,

Thank you for visiting our Zeta Tau Alpha website. We hope that you will take a look around and learn more about what our chapter has to offer for your daughter. Whether your daughter is a Potential New Member, a New Member, or an Initiated Member of the chapter, we welcome you to our website and appreciate your interest in Zeta Tau Alpha. In our Chapter, it is extremely important that we keep the parents informed of all of the amazing things that we have going on throughout the year. Each semester, we host a ZTA "Parents' Day," where our members' parents are invited to join us for lunch, ZTA trivia, meet and greet, and much more! This is a fun time for the members' parents to get to know each other, and to meet their daughters' friends! We love Parents' Day and look forward to it each semester as it is a great time to show the parents what great things we are doing as a chapter and how Zeta Tau Alpha is benefiting their daughters' lives. Below is a little information about our sorority and the amazing benefits it has to offer your daughter.

Founded: October 15, 1898 Virginia State Female Normal School (now Longwood University) Farmville, Virginia Member: National Panhellenic Conference (second largest of 26 groups) Initiated Members: 225,000 Active Collegiate Chapters: 162. Active Alumnae Chapters: 239. So why have 225,000 women chosen to become members of Zeta Tau Alpha? Each one probably has a different answer. But I believe the primary reasons are: - a lifetime of friendship, - opportunities to serve others - leadership growth, and - a commitment to high academic and personal standard A ZTA collegiate member experiences friendship from the very start. In her first six weeks as a new member, a Zeta will learn about the Fraternity through Zeta Is Forever, the first-year link in Member Enrichment Program, and be matched with a Big Sister to help her feel at home. Our Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation is the philanthropic and fundraising arm of the Fraternity. The ZTAF leads our efforts in Breast Cancer Education and Awareness provides $275,000 in scholarships annually and sponsors educational and leadership opportunities for our members and others. The Foundation also funds the AlcoholEdu for College program for all of our new members. We are so very proud of all of our collegiate and alumnae chapters, our programs, and our service.
