Parents

Dear Parents,

Thank you for visiting our Zeta Tau Alpha chapter website! We’re so glad you’re here and hope you’ll take some time to explore and learn more about what our chapter has to offer your daughter. Whether she is a Potential New Member, a New Member, or an Initiated Member, we welcome you and appreciate your interest in Zeta Tau Alpha.

In our chapter, we value the involvement and support of parents and strive to keep you informed about the exciting things happening throughout the year. One of our favorite traditions is ZTA Parents’ Days, hosted each semester. This special event invites parents to join us for lunch, ZTA trivia, meet-and-greets, and more. It’s a wonderful opportunity for you to meet your daughter’s friends, connect with other families, and see firsthand the sisterhood and joy that ZTA brings into our lives. We look forward to these days every semester and love sharing the ZTA experience with the people who matter most to our members.

Below is a brief overview of our sorority and the many benefits it offers your daughter:

Founded: October 15, 1898
Location: Virginia State Female Normal School (now Longwood University), Farmville, VA
Member of: National Panhellenic Conference (2nd largest of the 26 groups)
Initiated Members: Over 225,000
Active Collegiate Chapters: 162
Active Alumnae Chapters: 239

So, why have over 225,000 women chosen Zeta Tau Alpha? Each member may have a unique reason, but many are drawn to:

A lifetime of meaningful friendship

Opportunities to serve others

Leadership development

A commitment to high academic and personal standards

From the very beginning, a ZTA collegiate member experiences connection and support. Within her first six weeks, she participates in Zeta Is Forever, the first phase of our Member Enrichment Program, and is matched with a Big Sister to help guide her and make her feel at home.

Our Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation (ZTAF) is the philanthropic heart of our organization. It supports our national philanthropy, Breast Cancer Education and Awareness, and provides over $275,000 in scholarships annually. The Foundation also funds leadership development and programs such as AlcoholEdu for College, which is provided to all new members.

We are incredibly proud of our chapter, our members, and the values we uphold. ZTA is more than a sorority, it’s a lifelong support system, a space for personal and academic growth, and a sisterhood your daughter can always count on.

If you have any questions or would like to learn more, please don’t hesitate to contact our Chapter President, Hannah Natschke, at ztapresident.indstate@gmail.com

Warm regards,
Zeta Tau Alpha - Gamma Chi
